You know, it's easier said that done trying to dismiss the United States Black Metal scene these days. I'm not saying everything's gold over there but it's a helluva lot stronger than it used to be.
At first glance "Denuntiatus Cinis" might come across as a pretty upfront Black Metal album if you don't pay attention. HoD are one of those bands, or projects as this is a one man operation, that might just make a bit higher than most with it's unorthodox take on Black Metal. HoD take the foundations of the 2nd wave and add new layers creating a very bizarre and avant-garde album.
Think of the early days Emperor, Arcturus in minority and Fleurety playing Irish folk music. Turn on, tune in, drop out.
