Hell’s Headbangers

First a small confession, I haven’t heard anything by Profanatica since Ledney released the band’s debut under the Havohej moniker. I used to be a huge Profanatica nut and the stuff on the split with Masacre and the Havohej album pretty much did enough for me.

Now, since then the band has kept a low profile but released a bit like a split with Impiety and a full length some three years ago that totally went past me. Therefore I cannot compare this album with the debut, which was also released by Hell's Headbangers.

From the first second this album is like the second chapter to “Dethrone the Son of God”. “Black Cum” splashes on the tail of “...the Son of God” and from then on it’s as if the game is on, Profanatica is in it’s prime! Combining the old aura that was evident in the old recordings of the band with a production a bit similar to that on the “Black Perversion” ep of Havohej, Profanatica’s 2010 offering could well stand the test of time.
